Hello again. It's me.

I appreciate you wanting to learn more about me! I think it's important to get to know your graphic designer before working with them. Designers come from many backgrounds, so knowing what experience they have and style they offer, can help you decide if they are a good fit for your project.

I grew up south of the Twin Cities in a small town where I played a lot of sports, LOVED art class and used my imagination often while playing outside at our farmhouse.

I moved to Bemidji, MN out of high school and enjoyed my time at Bemidji State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Design Technology with a Minor in Visual Arts.

I have now lived in Bemidji for 18 years. I recently married my best friend and we have two fur babies. We enjoy kayaking down the Mississippi River, playing sand volleyball at our local bar, and living in our house in the woods. We do not enjoy the freezing winters, mosquitoes and the many wood ticks that share our yard.

My Experience

After graduating from BSU I accepted a job at Arrow Printing Inc in Bemidji as a graphic designer. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there where I learned all I could about the printing process and enhanced my design skills.

After two years, I took a managing position at Netzer's Floral to fulfill my passion of the floral design industry, which I've had experience in through my college days. During my time there I continued to offer my graphic design services as a freelance designer.

Missing the printing world, I went back to Arrow Printing to help with their design department and customer service. I continued to work there for two more years until I was offered a position at the Leech Lake Tribal College as their print shop specialist. I managed the print shop on campus for six years where I was promoted to the Marketing & Brand Manager for the school. I did everything from sales and design to print production including operating the digital printers and finishing machines. I was also in charge of marketing the school through print sources and social media, as well as maintaining the website.

My Style

I am not sure I have a specific style of design, but I do have a performance style. I love to meet with my clients to envision their goals before I start creating. I am very passionate about learning my clients needs and incorporating custom elements into the design for a unique impression. I love seeing a project from start to finish with plenty of feedback throughout the process.

I do not take shortcuts to complete a design and always use the proper channels to make sure my designs work for every platform (print, web, etc.). If needed, I will hand-draw certain schemes first, in order to keep it authentic.

My favorite projects to work on are logos, brochures, catalogs and menus. I am very detail orientated, so anything with grids or specific layouts excite me. I've also been building websites through Wix and would love to do more!

No matter the size of the project, I will always give my full attention to provide a clean, visually appealing illustration that will satisfy my client.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. Thank you for taking the time to check out my website, and I look forward to getting to know you back.
